The ranking is based on a comprehensive questionnaire designed by Christel Gade, Professor of Human Resources and Organization at IU International University of Applied Sciences. Between October 2024 and October 2025, around 3,000 senior decision-makers shared their experiences in a total of 6,000 individual evaluations of the executive search firms they had engaged. The quantitative survey was complemented by approximately 100 in-depth reference interviews. In total, more than 900 consultancies were mentioned and assessed.
This methodologically robust approach makes the ranking one of the most meaningful and widely recognized market benchmarks in the industry.
