Dwight Cribb believes that the current economic situation requires a paradigm shift in corporate leadership. “We are facing a serious demand crisis, and many leaders are unprepared,” says Cribb. “Fundamental questions are coming back into focus: How does a company stay competitive? How is it going to sustain itself in the long run?”

True leadership means creating a culture that inspires and guides, especially in uncertain times. Yet many companies are stuck in an outdated mindset.

“Instead of leveraging top talent with a clear vision for the future, companies too often prioritise perceived security,” says Cribb. When it comes to hiring strategies for the future, this means focusing more on transferable skills and personality traits – as a learning mindset often outweighs industry experience.
