2025 was no exception: 23 fearless swimmers plunged into the 3.3°C cold water, while the air temperature barely offered any warmth at -1°C. Along with the honor, participants also competed for sporting achievements, as the coveted trophies were up for grabs in the categories Penguin (fastest time), Seal (fastest time with neoprene support), and Yoda (longest time in the water):
In the Penguin category, Thomas Diller (1st), Andreas Harting (2nd), and Matthias Aigner (3rd) fought it out for the top spot.
In the Seal category, 1st place went to Christian Mueller , followed by Dr. Johann Wenzl and Katrin Eckhold.
In the Yoda category, event host Dwight Cribb won the tiebreaker, followed by Jochen Eckhold and Mirko Ilowski.
But beyond the athletic challenge, the focus was also on the greater good: For every participant, a donation was made to HateAid, raising over €2,000 in total. A heartfelt thank you to all the brave swimmers, dedicated supporters, Mr. Eisele, the Feldafing Water Rescue team, and the fantastic organizing team.
This event wouldn’t have been possible without you!
See you next year – when it’s time again: Together for an icy tradition and a good cause.
